I realise that this blog seems to have turned into more of a life spiel than a scrap share of late... but I guess with scrapping taking a back seat more recently I should still keep it up. It is interesting to go back and read what I have said in the past - see how my moods were, the reflections I make on life and such...
Photo heavy post today :) I borrowed my sister's SLR (Canon 400D) to take down south with me. Ended up with several hundred shots from the 5 nights I was away. Thought I would share some with you.... Still yet to edit them properly though.

This is one of my overall favourites from the whole trip.

Getting arty with Ryan's guitar.

Pretty lavendar.

Mmm, cheese and dips!

Few shots at the Busselton Jetty which Ryan and I visited on our way home. It is the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere at approx 1.8km long. Currently it is undergoing maintainence so a large portion is closed.

They aren't really in any order but there is a snapshot of our awesome time away. I LOVED the house, totally incredible. The kitchen was gorgeous and very inspiring. We cooked up feasts every day, which included fresh seafood, scotch fillets, salad, soups, curries, fresh damper cooked over the fire, roast potatoes cooked over the fire, apple crepes, scones with jam and cream, bacon and eggs... You have to love fresh produce... And it is amazing to be able to cook in a kitchen looking out over the forest.
We spent the days checking out some of the awesome food factories/wineries/beaches and also having lazy drinks and playing boardgames in the house. A few highlights were Swings and Roundabouts Winery, BushShack Bewery (not only do they have great food/drinks, but the overall vibe is excellent) and Providore (gourmet food, preserves, oils and a restaurant).
I came home relaxed and recharged, and ready to tackle the real world again!
My braces also went on yesterday, and I am now having to get used to them. I am pretty okay about the whole thing, just glad the whole process to having great teeth is properly underway! I am sure I will eventually share some photos of how they look :) I am determined not to become camera shy or anything over the next two years! Bring on the finished product I say!
Anyway, I have new scrap supplies at home, but with such a busy weekend ahead, I am not sure if I will have a chance to scrap properly yet. Looking forward to it though and I am sure you will see whatever I do!
Enjoy your weekend (I will certainly enjoy mine!),
M xx
